I've been drawing since I was in 1st grade. So I have been drawing for 18 years.
But I didn't become really 'serious' until 1995 when Sailormoon came out. That
was my inspiration to draw anime. I
started drawing with adobe in high school and became much better when I finally
owned it myself.
Pretty Cure is okay. It's
really repetitive. It's like Sailormoon. The beginning builds up the characters
and introduce to the enemies. Then you have filler eps and then some battles,
then more fillers, then the ending. But it's fun to watch if you have nothing
else to watch. The sequel, Max Heart, is a lil better since the plot gets a lil
boost and you get interesting developments. Pretty Cure Splash Star, honestly,
is like Pretty Cure, plot wise, only they have different girls. Still, I watch it. Heheh~ But all in all, it's not too bad.
In comparison to most of the movies, I love the ending in this one. Super sweet.
Shows the innocence of love. The movie was very well done in showing the pains
of growing up and trying to discover what our niche is. I like Mononoke too even
though didn't care for the ending too much. But I like the strong women present
in the film. Even though it's not listed, I like Nausicca and My Neighbor Totoro
too.
It's good for your first try but there are a few problems. First, it's really
blurry. The characters aren't seen clearly at all. You can try vectoring it or
find a larger a picture to use. Second, you don't have much of a bg. All it is a
orange bg with inuyasha and kagome in front of it. You have to put a lot of
effort into the bg in order for it to get accepted. The forum has some useful
links to tutorials that can help you.
For the first one, why do you have most of your wallie filled with the moon?
This shows that you couldn't think of anything for the bg and just simply placed
a moon that appears weird in comparison to the girl. It has a lovely look so I
think if you shrink the size of the moon and recreate the bg following the look
of where the girl is, this will really look nice. Maybe a space or scenery bg
would look good. The area of where the girl is, is really nicely done. I like
it. Just add those same effects and it should be fine.
The second wallie is fine as well. The only thing was probably the effect that
you used in the bg. This also shows that you just added effects to the bg and
added the scan and that was that. Tone down the effects the bit and use some
brushes to add effects, you should be fine.
All in all, these are really nice works. ^_^ No worries~
This has a really nice idea. I like the original Kira without the blurriness. I
think the realistic bg shows that you didn't put in any effort to the bg. You
should keep the bike, but I think a different bg that you created yourself would
look really nice.
There is going to be a season 4. Yeah! It's called: UFO Princess Valkyrie: Toki
to Yume to Ginga no Utage.
Here's the website if you're interested: http://www.tokinoyu.net/
But they haven't officially announced the release date yet.
I have to agree as well. Sometimes, I feel that vectors get more attention than
a regular fanart. It's definitely much easier to vector than to draw. I think
we should really move the vector catergory somewhere else. We should be still
be able to submit vectors and the like since people can use it for wallies but
it shouldn't be considered part of the doujin cat.
I was in it for a while and that was so hard. We
were at at 8 hours a day. But I liked it since I lost weight from all the
exercise. Tee-hee~ The routines for the flags were pretty cool to do. I
wished I was good at keeping the beat.
Hope you have fun wherever you're going. ^_^ Looking forward to when you get back. The new layout is a really pretty and bright.
Really
nice work~

I really feel your pain. *huggles* I was upset when I lost everything on my hard drive. Ganbatte ne~ I look forward to the finish product. ^_^
